Jason "Mo" Bennett

Mo is from Kansas City, Missouri (hence the nickname). He earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Missouri ­ Kansas City in 2003. During and after college, Mo worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation on various lake, river, and stream sampling projects. He came to UF in 2003 to work as a technician in Dr. Mike Allen's lab. Mo started work on his graduate research project in late 2004 under Dr. Bill Pine. His current research project takes place through Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota Florida and is titled:"Using Acoustic Telemetry to Estimate Natural and Fishing Mortality of Common Snook in Sarasota Bay, Florida". MO greatly enjoys fishing, softball, photography, scuba diving, and social activities with fellow grad students.
